Volunteering

We are always seeking volunteers to support our Scouting and Guiding programs. Our volunteers work directly with young people, helping them acquire vital life skills through fun activities and exciting adventures. Additionally, we have a dedicated team of trustees and volunteers working behind the scenes to manage our governance and finances.]

Volunteers might:

  • Train to become a uniformed Scout or Guide leader
  • Attend weekly meetings as a unit /section helper
  • Get involved with days out, camps and expeditions
  • Share and learn skills
  • Join the Group Trustee Committee
  • Help organise fundraising events
  • Take on a lead role such as Group Secretary or Group Treasurer
  • Have recruitment and PR skills to help us grow membership and volunteers
Supporters Group

This is the intrepid band of adults who organise and run our fundraising events and to whom we are extremely grateful. Their role is crucial; subscriptions do not cover the costs associated with our minibuses or maintenance & replacement of the equipment used for residential events.

Our major fundraisers each year are the Gang Show or Pantomime (alternating annually) Christmas Faye, Quiz Nights, Bingo Evenings and Discos.

If you want to get involved in any of the above, let us know - we'd love to see you!
